UNWTO is the United Nations specialised agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. As the leading international organisation in the field of tourism, UNWTO promotes tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability and offers leadership and support to the sector in advancing knowledge and tourism policies worldwide.

Currently, UNWTO’s membership includes 156 countries, 6 Associate Members and over 400 Affiliate Members representing the private sector, educational institutions, tourism associations and local tourism authorities.

The General Assembly is the main statutory meeting of UNWTO and the most important gathering of senior tourism officials and high-level representatives from around the world. Held every two years, the Assembly is attended by delegations representing Full and Associate UNWTO Members, Affiliate Members, and representatives of other international organisations.

The Zambezi Explorer is fully committed towards being a part of a new eco-friendly tourism industry with the onboard facilities almost entirely solar powered. Harnessing the abundant sunshine using an intricate network of photo-voltaic cells onboard, the Zambezi Explorer joins the voice of eco-friendly technologies with reduced carbon emissions.
